Ignite Immediate Empathy With Storytelling
I recently heard a quote by the great Brene Brown that went: “People are hard to hate up close.”
I love this quote. And it’s true. From afar and with little understanding of the actual person, it’s easy to write your own story about them — a story that might not be kind or true.
However, once you get up close and understand even a small piece of their story, the power of empathy kicks in. A little knowledge of someone’s story can go a very long way. Just imagine how different the world would be if we took a little more time to get up close and learn a little more about each other’s stories.
The good news is, as you’ll learn in this video, it often requires only a hint of a story.
