The Non Salesy Story that Sells
I was on a call the other day, coaching a team on how to use storytelling in their network marketing and direct selling businesses, when someone asked me a question that I hear a lot: “How do I sell, without sounding too salesy?”
If you’ve read Stories That Stick, you’ll remember that value stories are great sales stories. However, purpose stories can make perfect sales stories whenever you want your audience to understand you a little bit better. That type of personal connection is so helpful when you want to sell but feel authentic.
Let’s face it. Sales is hard in the best of times. Add an extra layer of stress and uncertainty to the mix -- whether it is personal or global -- and asking people to part with their hard-earned money to give your products a chance, well, that can feel really uncomfortable.
If you’re looking for a technique to help you or someone on your team navigate sales right now, check out this video. In it, I’ll help you find the purpose stories that will work in your business.
