When the "About Us" Story Just Isn't Right

In the last few videos, we’ve been talking about where to start with your stories. One of these places is the “About Us” page on your company’s website.

One recent client had a particularly compelling story on their “About Us” page: It had twists and turns, identifiable characters, and all the makings of a powerful story. However, something about it just didn’t feel quite right. Although the story was a great one, it left me wondering, “What was the point of that?”

Their chosen story didn’t leave me with any additional information about the product they were offering or the edge their business had over its competitors. In this case, the story didn’t match their messaging goals because it was being told in the wrong context.

Join me to learn about identifying these mismatched stories, replacing them with the correct ones, and using your valuable digital real estate to tell stories that will ultimately strengthen your impact on potential customers.
